Comprehensive Assessment

Tailored Assessments for a Complete Health Profile

Our comprehensive clinical assessment is designed to deliver in-depth evaluations of both your cognitive and physical functions. In addition to a thorough physical exam conducted by our physicians, you will undergo a series of exams, interviews, and tests curated by a team of certified medical experts, including physicians, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, and nurses.

Cognitive Evaluations

The cognitive assessment consists of a certified neuropsychologist intake, as well as different cognitive assessment batteries. These tests ensure a thorough evaluation of your cognitive capabilities in the various domains.

Attention: Your level of alertness and ability to attend to targets and disregard noise Information processing speed: How quickly you process information

Memory: The level at which you encode and recall information

Executive functions: Your ability to apply information, compare, and make sound judgments

Spatial skills: How you lean on visual cues and senses to make decisions

Advanced Brain Imaging

Imaging studies enable our physicians to visually interpret the anatomical structures in your brain. We capture MRI and/or SPECT images as prescribed by our physicians.

Provide insights into the structure of your brain

Facilitate the identification or exclusion of abnormalities

Detect subtle signs associated with age-related decline

Physical & Nutritional Evaluations

Our thorough physical & nutritional assessment battery involves comprehensive evaluations, a physical therapist interview identifying your needs, abilities and goals. Additionally, a dietitian interview explores your dietary habits & goals.

Extensive blood tests

Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory evaluations

Balance and flexibility evaluations

Cognitive Function Tests

Your cognitive test batteries may encompass the following cohesive assessments: Neurotrax, a computerized test for cognitive evaluation employed in both research and clinical settings; CNS Vital Signs, a widely utilized computerized battery for cognitive assessment in clinical contexts; and CANTAB, the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery, seamlessly administered on a tablet.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

A noninvasive method that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of the brain. The image is highly detailed and can show even the smallest abnormality. When evaluating brain anatomy, we look for abnormalities which may or may not be normal for your age.

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests (CPET)

During the CPET, each breath is measured to assess how the body is performing. We measure the amount of O2 you inhale (VO2) as well as the amount of CO2 you exhale (VCO2). The capacity and power of the lungs is measured by the ventilation of both gasses per minute. As part of the test heart tracing (ECG) and blood pressure are recorded as well. The information gathered helps our team to create a tailored and individualized exercise program that will set you up to succeed physically.
