Transformative Stroke Treatment Programme
What is TBI?
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is sudden damage to the brain caused by a blow or jolt to the head. Common causes include road accidents, falls, bicycles without helmet accidents, and other sports injuries (rugby, football, martial arts and more). Mild cases of TBI affect the brain temporarily. More serious injuries can lead to long-term health complications such as difficulty thinking and remembering, loss of motor skills, sleep disruption, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, and more.
TBI damages the brain by disrupting or restricting blood flow of the small blood vessels to certain brain regions, which impacts their ability to function properly. We know that the brain needs an adequate supply of oxygen to repair damaged tissue – and that’s where Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy comes in.
Contact our expert team today to explore personalized solutions for managing TBI and begin your journey to improved quality of life.
How Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Can Help TBI
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a common treatment for medical conditions associated with a lack of oxygen (hypoxia), and research shows that it can help with the healing of brain injuries.
At the Brain & Performance Centre – A DP World Company, we first diagnose the severity of the brain injury with physical and neurological tests, and advanced brain imaging modalities, to assess suitability for HBOT treatment. We then advise on a personalized treatment plan.
How it works
The Brain & Performance Programme has delivered clinical positive results for stroke treatment based on over a decade of research. Our programme includes:
The Brain & Performance Programme
A structured, data-driven programme designed to optimise cognitive and physical performance.
The Brain & Performance Programme integrates advanced hyperbaric oxygen therapy with comprehensive cognitive assessments, targeted physical conditioning, and lifestyle interventions, each component grounded in rigorous scientific evidence and delivered to medical-grade standards. Every aspect of the programme, from diagnostics to treatment and monitoring, is evidence-based, clinically validated, and overseen by medical professionals.
Throughout the programme, key biological and neurological markers are continuously tracked, enabling precise, personalised optimisation of mental clarity, stamina, recovery, and overall brain health.
Assessment
A three-day comprehensive medical, physical and cognitive assessment conducted by certified medical professionals including physicians, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians and nurses.
Treatment
An intensive 12-week protocol of HBOT sessions, enhanced by training for your brain and body, and a personalized nutritional, cognitive & physical training programme.
Post Assessment
We repeat the tests from the initial assessment to measure results objectively and make recommendations for your ongoing progress.
Follow Up
We continue to keep track of your health and progress after the treatment through our remote monitoring platform, as well as at in-person checkups.
Program Benefits
Brain Blood Flow and Connectivity
Hyperbaric treatment improves cerebral blood flow, supports the growth of new neurons, and enhances the brain’s ability to communicate efficiently across key networks involved in cognitive performance.
Cognitive Performance and Mood
Clients often experience clearer thinking, quicker information processing, stronger executive functions and improved memory, alongside a more stable mood, better attention control and more restorative sleep.
Strength, Energy and
Mobility
The programme helps increase physical stamina, improve coordination and support stronger movement patterns, enabling clients to perform daily activities with greater energy, stability and confidence.
Recovery, Pain and Physical Health
Reduced inflammation, improved skin quality and enhanced recovery are commonly reported. The programme may also support hormonal balance and sexual performance by improving circulation and promoting tissue repair.
Immune and Regenerative Support
Hyperbaric therapy strengthens immune responses and encourages stem cell activity, helping the body repair more effectively and maintain healthier tissue function over the course of the programme.
Cellular Ageing & Mitochondrial Health
The treatment supports healthier ageing by helping maintain telomere length, reducing senescent cells and enhancing mitochondrial efficiency, all of which contribute to better long-term cellular performance.
Our Success Stories
Real results from real people. These success stories share genuine experiences of how our evidence-based programmes have helped improve their lives.

Groundbreaking Clinical Trial Shows Remarkable Results for Kids with TBI
A new study published in Scientific Reports shows that the protocol used by The Brain & Performance Centre – A DP World Company is a highly effective treatment for healing damaged brain tissue and relieving ongoing post-concussion symptoms.
The study found that participants in the treatment group experienced a significant increase in cognitive function. This included an improvement in their general cognitive score, improvement in memory, and executive function, following the HBOT treatment. Additional improvements included a positive change in brain structure, and an enhanced emotional score covering issues such as anxiety, depression and more.
Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) may occur after a TBI
Continual symptoms of concussions weeks after a TBIs are a clear sign that your brain has not healed and additional treatment is needed.
To assess if you’re dealing with post-concussion syndrome (PCS), Brain & Performance Centre physicians will perform advanced MRI scans, SPECT scans, and both neurocognitive and neurological tests to diagnose this condition, as well as review your health and concussion history and conduct a physical exam.
“HBOT can be successful because it addresses the cause of the symptoms, not just the symptoms alone. In combination with cognitive, physical, and nutritional coaching, some HBOT protocols can be very effective.” — Dr. Elamir, MD,
More about Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
What is Post-Concussion Syndrome?
When the symptoms of a concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI) persist past the point of normal recovery — one to two months — the condition is known as post-concussion syndrome (PCS). This chronic condition results from micro damage to the small blood vessels and nerves in the brain.
PCS can cause multiple physical, emotional, and cognitive symptoms that can persist for years if not properly diagnosed.
Chronic Symptoms of PCS:
Not all PCS patients experience the same chronic symptoms, and different symptoms may present at different times.
Common symptoms of PCS include: dizziness, headaches, nausea, sensitivity to light and noise, fatigue, trouble falling asleep, short-term memory loss, forgetfulness, lack of focus, irrational anger and anxiety.
If left untreated, PCS can exacerbate mental health issues, increase psychiatric hospitalization, and cause self-harm.
